Nico writes,
“My late mother Margo Maeckelberghe was an inspirational and talented Cornish painter. She was passionate about Cornwall and its dramatic landscapes are captured in her paintings.
She was Chairman of Penwith’s Society of Arts and had an exhibition at Tate St Ives. Her whole life was dedicated to her paintings and her love of Cornwall. She also had the honour of becoming a Cornish bard and her Cornish bard name was Lymner which is Cornish for painter.

Born in Cornwall of Cornish parents, Cornwall flowed in her blood. She was very proud of her heritage, and it inspired the majority of her stunning paintings.
She was my mother, but I admired her artistic talent and her passion for her homeland. I believe she deserves to be recognised in her beloved Cornwall.”
