1922 - 2013

Suggested by Sarah Hayes

“Della Rowe, also known as Bard Hendra, was my grandmother. She was awarded her Gorsedh Kernow Hardship in 2008 for her work promoting Cornwall around the work, particularly in Australia.

Della was a staunch advocate of all things Cornish and had boundless energy when promoting Cornwall on her various trips around the world. Born in Camborne she was fiercely proud of her heritage which she has passed on to her family. she was overjoyed to receive her bardship.’

Gorsedh Kernow is a non-political Cornish organisation which exists to maintain the national Celtic spirit of Cornwall”
