LIZ CHIVERS

Liz has been the Musical Director of Mabe Ladies Choir since 2019 and was its President before that. Mabe Ladies rehearsed upstairs at the School Room for over 50 years, until the pandemic. Over the last 20 years, Liz visited the School Room for rehearsals and performances as well as to teach singing lessons to individuals and her singing group ‘Ensemble’.

“The fun, the laughter, the singing and the chatter, vast amounts, our choir love to chat and, as you can hear, this glorious acoustic, it would bounce around in here like nobody's business. The thing about the space is, it's got this wonderful, friendly warmth, so turning up here on a Wednesday, it's just like putting on a favourite overcoat.”
