Throughout her time at the School Room, Rose has taken part in numerous activities including fairs, pantomimes, performances, dances and singing groups, including the Penmeth Singers and Mabe Ladies Choir. Rose led the infants Sunday School and set up Pop-in knitting group with her friend Jo Kennedy. Rose continues to be a part of the School Room as a member of creative social groups Tea, Cake & Art and Knit and Natter (inspired by Pop-in).
“We had our spring and autumn fair [up here]. I mean we used to be really well supported. It was packed up here, packed… trestles going right the way down through there…. lately though, people just didn't even do that, come to our spring fairs or our fairs down there. But years ago, wow.”
Rose was interviewed for the School Room Archive by Katie Etheridge
