Paul says, “Allison does a lot for the community of Penryn including St John Ambulance, Penryn Primary School where she was a teaching assistant, Guides, Memory Cafe, Active Plus and choir. She has lived in Penryn all her life and is a member of the town council and gets involved with everything with great community spirit.”
Allison is a long standing member of St John Ambulance in Penryn and Helston and in 2005 was made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) and received the Penryn Saracen Award. In 2015 Allison was made a member of the Order of St John, and presented with a serving sister award at a ceremony in the Priory Church of St John, Clerkenwell in London and afterwards visited No.10 Downing St.
Mandy says, “Allison has dedicated her life to others with special needs. She is a special, dear friend who has supported me so much and kept me going constant through Covid as I worked as a carer”
