“Beata founded and developed Pegasus Men’s Wellbeing Centre in Pool 10 years ago, creating an organisation which provides free and very low cost counselling to hundreds of men.
They now have counsellors and clients all over the UK. Pegasus was recognised for its excellence in 2024, achieving the Kings Award for the Voluntary Sector. Beata has big plans to expand the range of services and set up a family support hub.
Beata has achieved all this as a Polish immigrant, battling a difficult personal situation after arrival in 2007. In my capacity as an Immigrant Support Officer, I worked with Bea when she first arrived in Cornwall. I am constantly amazed at her drive and capacity to help others.
I think it's incredibly important right now to highlight the work of the immigrants who are part of our community.”
