Walker says, “Caroline runs the Redruth Station Cafe, as far as I know, and in my 2 years of doing invigilation at Redruth School, she has always been friendly and made my day brighter, as I’m sure she does for the other people eating/resting there. Indeed, during the second year, she recognised me from the first and said, “I haven’t seen you in a while, sir!” after which we caught up. She really is a pillar of that town.

Caroline is important to me because she made my day brighter and heightened my mood. She managed to run that little cafe, making food and drinks, all by herself whilst being accommodating and friendly.

I don’t know anything else about her and part of the reason why I think about her is because I don’t know her at all. She’s one of the those people you see working every day, and when you bump into them, they’re always friendly and helpful and lift your spirits.”
