Rosie writes, “Debbie Warner is a wine educator and consultant specialising in sustainability focused wine education for hospitality and the wine trade. She is an intelligent and generous businesswoman whose impact reaches beyond her work in Cornwall. Her commitment to education, environmental stewardship, and social progress is inspiring. Her work embodies an impressive blend of purpose, passion and integrity!
Debbie founded the Wild Wine School driven by her vision of building a more sustainable, kind, accessible, and resilient wine industry. Through this, she provides education and training for all audiences, from private clients to commercial groups across the UK. She has also established Agweres, a multifunctional space that serves as an office, classroom, events venue, deli counter, and wine shop. She also contributes to her community through charity and event catering, always emphasizing local and seasonal produce.
Debbie has lived in Cornwall for nearly 20 years, having a family and running a business. We first met just after having our babies, and from that moment on she’s been a wise and steadfast presence in my life, both professionally and personally. Debbie is a friend of honesty and integrity, someone you can always count on. Her work ethic is inspiring, and spending time with her is always engaging.”
