Emily Ould is a writer, published author and editor based in Cornwall inspired by her Cornish family heritage. She runs her own successful business called Emil Charlotte Editorial Services. She is co-founder and publisher of PaperBound Magazine, a publication which celebrates young adult and children's literature. She runs creative writing workshops for adults and children often using beautiful Cornish locations to assist and support their inspiration; the Lady Daphne Writing Competition open to everyone, inviting stories inspired by the Lady Daphne, a one hundred year old Cornish sailing vessel used in the China Clay Industry which is moored in the harbour at Charlestown, near St Austell.

Emily is a very enthusiastic and passionate young writer, taking inspiration from Cornwall and its people everyday and with a real drive to support others to achieve. She is my sister and I’ve seen first hand how hard she works for her successes and think that she should be celebrated and recognised for her work and commitment to literature, supporting other writers and her dedication to Cornwall. She is immensely proud to be Cornish and her work reflects this. Emily’s dedication to her students and colleagues is phenomenal. Emily will work for hours into the night completely focused on her business commitments. She’s an inspiration.

Emily has a passion for Cornwall and everything in it. She has a keen interest in the histories of places and finding out about local people, stories and events. She has the biggest heart and makes time for everyone she meets, always trying to help other people with their literary aspirations. She sacrifices her own time, that would be spent on novel writing, for others so that they succeed. I feel that Emily should be recognised for her work and attitude towards promoting others.
