Hayley young

Jemma writes, “Hayley is the Truro Cathedral Ringing Master - she leads, manages and trains the bell ringers at our beautiful cathedral. She has steadily grown the team of bell ringers since her election to her position, creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
The band now meets regularly with a full complement of 12 ringers, something which only a few short years ago was not possible. Hayley’s dedication to the bells has created further opportunities for the bell ringers, being able to participate in bell ringing competitions and visit our nearest cathedral friend, Exeter, on a monthly basis. 
 
I have no doubt that without Hayley’s continuous and infectious enthusiasm, the bell ringing at Truro cathedral would not be to the standard or level that it currently is. I, myself would not be bell ringing as it was Hayley who persuaded me to rejoin the bell ringers in 2022, after a 13 year sabbatical!
Hayley also assists with bell ringing all over Cornwall, including at nearby Kenwyn Church where she has assisted with recruiting and training new bell ringers since Covid. 
 
Hayley has lived in Cornwall for many years, she resides in Ladock. She is the Ringing Master of the Truro Cathedral bellringers.”
