Helen Wylde-Archibald is Chief Executive Officer of Wildanet a B-Corp certified independent Cornish-based internet service provider, bringing high-speed broadband to homes, businesses and communities throughout Cornwall. Helen Wylde was born in Cornwall and works in Liskeard. She joined the board of Wildanet as a non-exec director in 2021 and assumed the role of CEO in 2022.

Kiri writes,
“Helen’s achievements are a powerful reminder of how personal dedication can benefit the community. Through her vision, she has created jobs in Cornwall and established a much needed apprenticeship programme that equips people with valuable skills, setting them up for brighter futures.
Turning Wildanet into a certified B-Corp is a testament to her commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, proving that businesses can thrive while having a positive impact on society. Her contributions reach further than business to include volunteering to plant trees and the Kit24 initiative, giving laptops to those who need them most.
She is important to me because she embodies the values I hold dear: community, sustainability, and generosity. Helen is a true silent hero, a force of good whose actions speak louder than words.

In a male-dominated industry like telecommunications, Helen often stands alone as the only female CEO in the room. When faced with obstacles or those who said a B-Corp couldn’t be done, Helen didn’t back down, she broke through those barriers with determination.
She is an inspiring example of business leadership demonstrating what is possible when kindness, resilience, and courage come together. Despite the demands of her work, she still finds time to mentor others, offering guidance and support that empowers people to believe in themselves and aim higher. “
