Andie wrties,
“Lynn is Newquay's Purple Angels ambassador, a campaign that promotes Dementia Aware Communities. Their aim is to make businesses, services and community more accessible to those living with dementia whose once familiar world can become an intimidating place. Increased awareness and understanding in community helps to reassure individuals, their families and carers that a friendly face is never far away.

Lynn cared for both of her parents at home despite her own failing health and started Purple Angels with her husband Lewis who suffered from dementia.
Lynn cared for Lewis until he passed away in 2023. Lynn gives dementia awareness sessions voluntarily and started a group for bereaved parents after losing her beloved daughter suddenly in 2022.

She puts others before herself.
She is inspirational to others.
She makes herself available for anyone who needs support.
She is tireless in her passion to educate others in the struggles of living with dementia.
She has her own health issues but just doesn’t stop.
She makes her friends and family proud every day.

She really is a shining example of love & light.

Lynn was born in Cornwall, moved away to have her family, returning to Newquay in 2001.”
