Jane,
“Pauline set up St Blazey Recycle, Reuse and Resale CIC 6 years ago providing all manner of items to enable the community to furnish their homes. As chair of Cornwall Council she has many engagements, but always finds time for the local residents of St Blazey as their councillor and as a friend.”
Pat,
“Pauline had breast cancer in 2011 and used this experience to set up Bosom Buddie to educate girls about cancer. She established St Blazey Reuse Recycle and Resale which has been a huge success. They take unwanted items in their shop for resale, keeping a stock of household goods to help people who for no fault of their own have come into difficult circumstances. Their Facebook page says a lot about their impact on local community.
Pauline was awarded The British Emprire Medal during lockdown. She is my lifelong friend and in 50 years has never changed her desire to help others.
She is always there with cake and a hug when you need it.”
Paul,
“Pauline helps the community with a passion. It’s a pleasure to be a volunteer with all of us feeling part of a family.”
Gillian,
“Pauline has done so much for the county, especially serving her St Blazey constituents, going above and beyond for those who need it. During COVID she gave out food parcels, hosted online quizzes and provided local children with online cookery classes and clay workshops. I volunteer at the recycle centre which gives me a reason to get up, go out and meet lots of different people.
After retiring from my job due to illness it was brilliant to feel useful again.”
Val says, “Pauline is an absolute powerhouse.”
Pam,
“Pauline is the beating heart of the community who never discriminates. Pauline fights for EVERYONE. She’s a Par maid born & bred.”
