“Victoria Gillow captures and shares her deep love, experience and appreciation of the sea and coast of Cornwall through her beautiful paintings and a plethora of exhibitions and courses. She can often be found painting in the dunes or by the shore on a wet day, creating outstanding emotive pieces of art. She is beautifully kind and a wonderful art facilitator who lights up a room, not only with her talent but with her expression and warmth. She is a teacher, a collaborator and my mother.

Every day she inspires me and brings her inspiration to our home town of Falmouth. I watch her in awe: her art, her teaching and her kindness. She loves so deeply and feels everything. She makes me love Cornwall and want to inspire others with its beauty and heritage.

Victoria was born, and raised in Cornwall, she built a family and a life here. Her connections are deep in Cornish history, growing up in Feock, and with heritage in pockets all over the county.”
